Clothing:

  • Choose clothes that represent your personality and style. Examples: fun, flirty, sassy, traditional, elegant, classy, sporty, preppy, grunge, tough, sophisticated, etc.

  • Avoid clothing with heavy text or logos. This includes Hollister, Aeropostale, Hurley, etc.

  • Don’t be scared of patterns.

  • Choose things you would normally wear and are comfortable in.

  • Consider using various pieces. Examples: capris, shorts, skirts, pants, dresses, etc.

  • Wear bloomers under dresses.

  • Layer and accessorize. Jewelry, ties, hats, scarfs, jackets, etc are great add ins.

  • Be conscious and plan for avoiding visible bra straps.

Hair, Makeup, & Hygene:

  • Bring along Chapstick/lip gloss. Cracked lips are tricky to edit.

  • Bring hairpins. Blowing hair is tricky to edit.

  • Avoid abrupt changes in your hairstyle right before your session.

  • Avoid heavy tanning right before your session.

  • Avoid chipped nail polish.

  • Avoid abrupt/heavy makeup changes.

  • Avoid abrupt facial hair changes.

Additional Planning:

  • Take time to observe the color pallets and designs of the rooms you want to hang your wall portraits in.

  • Before your session, lay all outfits out on the floor and take a photo. Ask me for feedback and adjust as necessary.
