2014 Reflections
Before I stride forward into the New Year, I wanted to reflect on all that has been accomplished in the closing year. With 2014 marking my second year in business as a full-time photographer, I am so very proud of all that has been accomplished.
Here are some of the 2014 highlights and milestones I am proud to share.
The Showroom has been in use for 1 full year. It has been a fabulous place to meet with clients during their pre session consultation as well as for their viewing and ordering appointment. The space as a whole allows me to better serve my clients.
Implemented the new PreeVu software for viewing and ordering appointments as well as wall portrait design. The software makes brainstorming and designing wall portrait collections so easy for my clients.
Implemented The Square credit card service to better serve my clients in the payment process.
Put a vision into action and launched the “Share your Story” series.
New backup equipment was purchased [D800, 50mm, & 70-200 1.8 lens].
Put together a will.
Chosen for a Des Moines Juice highlight.
Implemented new and necessary products to best serve client requests:
Revised my blog, integrating it into my website.
Attended the first wedding vendor specific networking event: Connect Des Moines to build relationships and support other local vendors in the wedding industry.
Switched wedding album vendors to American Color Imaging to better serve my clients.
Created a Google Plus profile.
Began 401K Contributions.
Was chosen to be featured in Wedding Lovely.
Partnered with the following businesses and organizations, providing them professional photography to meet their individual needs.
Ryun & Givens PLC on an all Iowa Project for their website revamp
Des Moines Children’s Dentistry on a conference room display
Beaverdale Farmer’s Market to highlight their market season
As I pat myself on the back, I also fill myself up with positive and radiant light for 2015. I look forward to more goals and visions coming to fruition, sharing and reminding my clients each and every day that life truly is, beautiful.
